Historical year built - 1935   year remodeled - 2004 additional property description -  the gideon is a historic property located in the 2300  square acres of saratoga spa state park, also located  adjacent to the hotel is the historic roosevelt spa.

 we also  have a grille serving lighter fare in a more casual  setting.  inside the hotel we have our  lovely georgian dining room offering breakfast, lunch,  and dinner, and our hallmark sunday brunch. We are a mile from  downtown saratoga springs, and two miles from the  thoroughbred race track.  winter activities include cross  country skiing and ice skating.  a wonderful  place for walking.  we offer golf,  tennis, swimming, and bicycle rentals.  this is the summer home to the new york city  ballet and the philaharmonic orchestra.  the saratoga performing arts center is also situated in  the park.
