The Cliffside Hotel

Location.

The north of the island is a sanctuary for waterfowl, while the south reserve plays host to magnificent peacocks. Brownsea Island, seven miles from the hotel, boasts splendid beaches on its south shore, as well as two nature reserves inland.

Expert Tip. Rooms with sea views are available on request, subject to availability. All have simple, modern decor and furnishings with classic English touches, and include direct-dial telephones, televisions, coffee and tea makers, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries. The 61 guestrooms are located on four floors and are accessible by lift.

Guests can take a dip in a heated outdoor pool, with a larger pool available for use at the neighbouring Cumberland Hotel. Staff at the 24-hour reception desk can offer tourist advice, and place valuables in a safe-deposit box, and there is also 24-hour room service.
