Residence Aurelia Antica

Location.

The street Via Leone XIII was opened for the 1960 Olympic Games and divides the park's 184 hectares into two sections: the east comprises historical monuments, statues, and fountains while the west offers a wild, natural environment for joggers and walkers. The Villa Doria Pamphili park next to the residence is the largest park in Rome.

Expert Tip. All rooms are air-conditioned and include refrigerators, televisions, and wireless Internet; kitchenettes can also be used for a surcharge. Apartments have separate lounge and dining areas with wooden floors. Rooms open onto furnished terraces or balconies overlooking the swimming pool, tennis courts, and garden. White walls give bedrooms a bright, airy feel and contrast with dark wall-to-wall carpeting and brass bedsteads. The Aurelia Antica has 99 rooms and apartments spread over five floors.

The day begins with breakfast, served amid the cool white linens of the Aurelia Antica's breakfast room. The lobby walls are constructed with 'opus reticulatum' - replicas of the hand-made bricks used to build much of ancient Rome - and large paintings depicting scenes of ancient Rome hang behind cushioned bamboo sofas and chairs. Guests enter through a gate to reach Aurelia Antica Suites and Apartments.
