Renovation Notice:
The hotel's East Wing is scheduled to be closed for renovations to all guestrooms, lobby, restaurants and public areas, beginning December 1, 2007. All guestrooms feature bathrobes, fireplace, multi-line phones, individually-controlled heating and air- conditioning, high-speed Internet access, IDD telephones, personal computer outlets, combination bath/showers, in-room safes, minibars and refrigerators. The Sheraton Guilin boasts 430 well-appointed rooms, including 19 suites with breathtaking views of the Li River and hotel garden. An outdoor pool and a fully equipped gymnasium are provided and sauna and massage facilities are also available with poolside drinks and snacks during summer. Studio Café is another casual American themed restaurant and Guilin Food Street serves Guilin and Cantonese cuisine. Cathy Chinese Restaurant serves Cantonese specialties and provides traditional Chinese music at night. The Atrium Coffee Shop is open 24-hours and provides casual Western and Asian cuisine and live, evening entertainment.
The Sheraton Guilin features four restaurants, a bar, tour service counter and the airline ticket service conveniently located in the lobby. Other impressive natural attractions include Reed Flute Cave and Seven Star Park, 30 minutes from the hotel. Elephant Trunk Hill has a history of over three million years and its name comes from the landscape's unusual resemblance to an elephant sucking water from the Li River. Within walking distance of the hotel is Elephant Trunk Hill, considered the symbol of Guilin landscape. This city is famed for its unique landscape of limestone caves and crags, which have inspired Chinese poets and artists throughout the centuries.
